Privacy Policy
Unless otherwise stated below, the provision of your personal data is neither required by law or contract, nor is it necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the data. Failure to provide it has no consequences. This applies only insofar as no other information is given in connection with the processing operations set out below. "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Controller
The controller responsible for the data processing is: Hans Gerald Brüne, Brückenplatz 5, 59821 Arnsberg, Deutschland, Tel. 0174 7480156, service@lagertechnik-direkt.de.
Server Log Files / Hosting
You can visit our web pages without providing any personal information. Each time our pages are accessed, usage data is transmitted by your browser to us or to our hosting/IT service provider and stored in log data (server log files), including: the name of the page accessed, date/time, IP address, volume of data transferred, and the requesting provider. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in the trouble-free operation and improvement of our services. The server log files are stored for a maximum period of 14 days and then deleted; longer storage takes place only insofar as this is necessary to investigate specific security incidents (the affected log files are then exempt from deletion until the matter has been conclusively clarified).
Hosting: This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (the "Cloudflare Pages" platform). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Processing may also take place on servers in the USA; the transfer to a third country is safeguarded via the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Cloudflare is certified) and, additionally, via EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and efficient operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts
The fonts used on this website ("Sora" and "Inter") are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). When the page is loaded, therefore, no connection to Google's servers is established and no IP address is transmitted to Google.
Contact by Email
If you contact us by email in a business context, we collect your personal data (name, email address, message text) only to the extent you provide it, in order to process and respond to your enquiry. Where the contact serves pre-contractual measures (e.g. consultation, preparation of a quote) or an existing contract, the processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, it is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding); you have a right to object in this respect. Your data will be deleted once your request has been dealt with, subject to statutory retention periods.
Contact Form
When you use the contact form, we collect your personal data (name, email address, message text) only to the extent provided, for the purpose of establishing contact. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (otherwise), with a right to object. Deletion takes place once your request has been dealt with, subject to statutory retention periods.
Customer Account
When you open a customer account, we process your data to the extent provided there in order to improve your shopping experience and simplify order processing. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent); you may withdraw this at any time with effect for the future, in which case your customer account will be deleted. The account data is processed in the database and storage infrastructure of our host Cloudflare (Cloudflare D1/KV); in this respect, the information under "Server Log Files / Hosting" applies accordingly (data processing pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR; transfer to a third country (USA) via the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
Orders
When you place an order, we process your data insofar as this is necessary for the performance and processing of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The provision is necessary for the conclusion of the contract; without it, no contract can be concluded. Data is disclosed to the shipping companies/freight forwarders involved, payment service providers, order-processing service providers, and IT service providers, in each case limited to the necessary minimum. We handle the shipment of bulky shelving systems via freight forwarders; the data required for delivery (name, delivery address, and, where applicable, telephone number for delivery notification) is passed on to the commissioned freight forwarder (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Accounting / Invoicing (LexOffice)
For invoicing and accounting, we use the service lexoffice / lexware Office (Haufe-Lexware GmbH & Co. KG, Munzinger Straße 9, 79111 Freiburg) as a processor. The data required for the creation of invoices and receipts (name, address, order/invoice data) is processed. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR as well as Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (tax and commercial law obligations). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Haufe-Lexware.
Email Dispatch (Resend)
For sending order and quote confirmations, notifications, and any newsletter, we use the service of Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA ("Resend") as a processor. In this context, your email address and the respective message content are processed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract processing, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on an interest in reliable delivery). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Resend; the transfer to a third country in the USA is safeguarded via EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Newsletter
We send a newsletter only if you have expressly consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, double opt-in). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (unsubscribe link in the newsletter or notification to us). The technical dispatch is carried out via Resend (see above).

Cookies
Our website uses cookies — small text files that are stored in your browser. Through your browser settings, you have full control (notification, individual decision, deletion). If you disable them, you may not be able to use all functions.
Technically necessary cookies are used by us in order to make our services user-friendly, effective, and secure (e.g. recognition of the browser after a page change, shopping cart, storage of your cookie selection). Basis: Section 25(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Non-necessary cookies/services (e.g. analytics, advertising, external chat) are set only after your consent via our cookie consent banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change/withdraw your selection at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link.
Analytics & Audience Measurement
We currently use no web analytics, tracking, or conversion services; no audience measurement takes place. Should we use such services in the future, non-essential services will be loaded exclusively after your consent via our cookie consent banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); we will then update this policy accordingly.
AI Chat Advisor
Insofar as we offer a chat advisor and you use it, your inputs are transmitted to and processed by our AI service provider Anthropic, PBC, San Francisco, CA, USA for the purpose of responding (transfer to a third country, safeguarded via EU Standard Contractual Clauses; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Anthropic). The chat is loaded only after your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6(1)(f)/(b) GDPR in the case of pre-contractual consultation. Please do not enter any sensitive data into the chat.

After complete processing of the contract, data is stored for the duration of the warranty period and subsequently, taking into account statutory (in particular tax and commercial law) retention periods, and is then deleted, unless you have consented to further processing.
Rights of the Data Subject
Where the statutory requirements are met, you are entitled to the rights under Art. 15–20 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability). In addition, under Art. 21(1) GDPR, you have a right to object to processing carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, as well as to processing for the purpose of direct marketing.
