Product description
The longitudinal support beam (Längsunterzug) is a reinforcement rail fitted underneath the shelf board to support its C-edge at mid-span. It removes deflection and increases the shelf load rating where boards would otherwise sag under wide bays or point loads.
This component weighs 1.16 kg, galvanized finish.

Supports the shelf in the middle. The joist runs in the depth direction beneath the shelf and catches the C-edge between the front and rear support point, where the shelf is most likely to sag.
More shelf load, no extra level. The added support lets your existing boards carry heavier or point loads without changing shelf depth or the number of levels.
Exact fit to the META board. Designed for 40 mm high shelf boards with a C-edge and compatible with the MS150-III, MS230-III, MS330-III as well as V100 and V230 systems – plug-in only, no drilling.
Two finishes, two lengths. Available galvanised or in RAL 7035 light grey and in 1000 and 1300 mm lengths to match the bay width of your shelf compartment.
The longitudinal joist is set beneath the shelf from below and additionally supports its C-edge; the 1300 variant is designed for shelves without a depth channel (MS330-III). It is a pure retrofit or reinforcement part and is ordered in addition to the existing shelf.
